While doing a floor puzzle...
Me: (to Owen) "How did you get so smart?"
Owen: "It was a gift."
Me: "A gift?"
Owen:"Yes"
Me: "A gift from who?" (thinking he'd say me, Danny, or "his mouth" (like he usually says when I ask him where something he said comes from.)
Owen: "Miles"
Me: "Miles?"
Owen: 'Yes, he's my buddy!"
Miles is probably the smartest kid we know, so if he picks up anything from him, it's a plus! I'll accept this gift!

Aw, are you sure he didn't mean it was a present from him;) I'm glad Owen still loves his buddy unconditionally, temper-tantrums and all! We sure love Owen-the sweetest child we know!
