rice cereal

Today, Audrey is 5 months and 4 days old. I had intentions of starting her on rice cereal last week, but life got in the way... and so she had her introductory 1 tablespoon today.

She has been eying our food and drinks for weeks and grabs at both like she is ready to try them for herself, and I must admit I have been hesitant at starting her on food for selfish reasons. She's my last baby and I want to bind her little self and keep her a baby!!!! She is growing too quickly for my liking for sure!

Well, she was ready and we made room in the cabinets for baby food. It's time....

they said

I needed to run to the bank yesterday afternoon and the boys love to watch the canister swoop through the air and they always get cute "Fat Cat" stickers. After we left the bank, Owen was pretty adamant that we not go home, so we went over to one of our children's consignment stores.

This particular one is located next to a bakery, which is closed on Monday. We happened to park right in front of it and the kids jumped out of the car and ran to the door trying to open it. Ben looked at me and said "locked mommy, locked." And Owen looked at Ben and said, "Ben, they must have gone fishing."

Seriously, where do they get this stuff?

5 months

my sweet and oh so cuddly Audrey Kate is blowing raspberries. rolled over from front-to-back and back-to-front on 4/26. loves to chew on her clothes. favorite toys include her Baby Einstein radio, infantino dangling toys, a little bunny teether, the sea turtle in her crib, Sophie the Giraffe Teether, Fisher Price Sound Stage, Rainforest Jumperoo. celebrated her first Easter. chews on thumbs. easily tickled and excited. watches and LOVES her brothers...especially Owen. pushes off with her feet when on her belly.loves to be outside. loves music & books. loves to be worn in the ERGO...BEST PURCHASE EVER!!!! sits for a few seconds unsupported. grabbed her feet for the first time this month. took her first nap in her crib yesterday. takes a paci from time to time, but still doesn't seem to be attached. more wakeful this month, but sleeps well through the night. wears size 3 diapers. size 3-6 and some 6-9 month clothes. eyes are still blue and hair is a strawberry blonde. she's a busy bee for sure. love her!!!
