It's a.......

This morning Danny, mom, Owen and myself headed to the doctor's office for the much anticipated ultrasound. They took us back before I could even finish signing my name on the sign-in sheet, which was nice, but Danny was running a little late and I was so afraid he was going to miss the entire ultrasound. He did make it about halfway through; just in time to see the little arms, legs, face and spine....and of course the baby's sex.

So.... after a look at the alien like face(just kidding)

and a thumbs up.....

HE made his debut.....

When Danny got to work one of his co-workers gave him this onesie he bought in Daytona for the new baby. Perhaps he knew we were having a boy before we did.

Happy Valentine's Day...

Owen built an Eggo statue on top of his milk just for you!

This little monkey turned 15 months last week and he is now 23 lbs 1.5 oz and he is 33 1/2 inches long. His head measured the same, so maybe the rest of him is finally catching up.

I'll try to post some monthly updates soon.

17 weeks

This week, the size of a turnip...

Owen loves giving my "button" kisses. Well, this time it was actually a bite and a raspberry. OUCH! Hurry and take the picture, PLEASE!!!

I had a doctors appointment last week and everything seems to be going well. My doctor is on maternity leave, so I saw Dr. Garbarino, which was a treat! She is who delivered Owen and this was the first time I had seen her since his delivery. I took the camera and got a picture of her with him, since we neglected to do so when he was born. We had already been at the doctor's office for an hour and my bag of treats and tricks was running LOW, so the picture was just OK. More of a desperate little face saying, "Please get me out of this stroller and let me open every drawer in here."
The baby's heartbeat was around 154 beats/minute, which is always good. I have already started to feel the little "turnip" move.
**We find out in less than 2 weeks if it's a boy or a girl. **

The REAL babysitter

Kaitlyn hasn't come to stay with us in over a month, and boy has she changed. She is such a little sweetheart. She loves to play, be read to and she loves music. She is also a little speed roller. She got here this morning before Owen had woke-up, so we had some time to play and read just the two of us, but as soon as Owen discovered she was here, he went to her right away and started playing with her. He was so much more gentle and loving than he was a few months ago. He even grabbed a book and started reading to her. It was too cute for words!
